Why is septic pumping required?
Septic systems collect and decomposes household solid sewage through bacterial activity in a septic tank, ultimately so that it drains and soaks away.
Maintaining your septic system will ensure its reliability and longevity. It is advised that your septic tank be inspected every two years, to determine whether pumping is required. Septic tanks usually need to undergo pumping every 3 to 5 years, depending on the size of the tank and its usage. Undersized or heavily used systems may required pumping more frequently. Our team will inspect your septic system, and advise you if pumping is required.
Liquids in the tank are dispersed over time via porous pipes to a drain field. The solids in the tank, however, break down under the affect of anaerobic bacteria, which creates a sludgy material that accumulates in the bottom of the tank. This sludge builds up over time, and can block the outlet through which the liquids that facilitate the flow of liquids from the tank. Blocked septic system can cause quite a problem.
